Since the development of the digital computer in the forties of the twentieth century, it has been proven that computers can be programmed to carry out extremely complex tasks, but despite the continuous progress in computer processing speed and memory capacity, there are still no programs that match the flexibility of the human mind in wider areas, or in Tasks that require a lot of knowledge every day, yet artificial intelligence has many applications in daily life, such as: medical diagnosis, computer search engines, voice recognition, handwriting recognition, and others. [1]

Artificial intelligence enters into many limitless applications, such as: robots, autonomous vehicles, and unmanned aircraft, which are among the most well-known applications in the field of artificial intelligence, and simulation (in English: Simulation) is one of the fields that Benefited from computer development; As video games were developed, to become more realistic, in addition to developing applications that help teach different languages, such as: Siri application; This is done by answering some of the user's questions with pre-programmed answers. [1]


The history of artificial intelligence

The term artificial intelligence was first mentioned in 1956 AD by John McCarthy, who organized a two-month workshop at Dartmouth College, which brought together researchers interested in artificial neural networks. Although this workshop did not lead to any new innovations, it brought together the founders of artificial intelligence science and contributed to laying the foundation for the future of research related to it. [3]


It is worth noting that after this workshop, an intense wave of research in artificial intelligence began, by establishing research centers related to it, such as: Carnegie Mellon Center (in English: Carnegie Mellon) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (in English: Massachusetts Institute of Technology), which focused these Institutes create systems that can efficiently find solutions to problems, such as: Logic Theorist, which is considered the first program for artificial intelligence, in addition to systems that learn on their own, such as: the positioning system (GPS), and artificial intelligence It appeared in the seventies of the twentieth century in many fields, such as: expert systems, language processing, knowledge representation, and others.
