Several protocols are used in the Internet to facilitate the communication process between network devices. Among these protocols are the following: [3] [4]

Internet Protocol (in English: IP): The Internet Protocol is the basis for other protocols, and it is responsible for conducting the basic communications between connected devices. So that every connected device has its own address represented by numbers.

Hypertext Transfer Protocol (in English: HTTP): It is a set of agreed rules for the purpose of transferring files such as images, sound, documents, and others over the World Wide Web. As any visit to any web page will use this protocol.

Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTPS): This is a more secure version of the regular HTTP. As the communications made by it enjoy a layer of protection that does not exist in the latter.

File Transfer Protocol (in English: FTP): The File Transfer Protocol is the oldest of all Internet protocols except for the Internet Protocol. It became available for use in 1971. The file transfer protocol is used to download and upload files from one device to another device within the network, and this protocol is not safe if its settings are not properly configured, and the connection may be compromised if the settings are left as they are.

Secure Transfer Protocol (in English: SSH): It is considered a means of transmitting data securely, as it contains many of the features of the file transfer protocol, but it is more secure, contains more features, and allows access to servers and the execution of remote commands.

Telnet Protocol (English: TELNET): The Telnet protocol provides the ability to communicate with computers remotely and to control them. However, it lacks the standards of a secure connection, as it does not encrypt the data sent and received over the network.
